Los Angeles music collective, Fitz and The Tantrums, have had a year worthy of a soul-clap or two. Their album, Pickin' Up The Pieces, earned the group a spot on Billboard's HeatSeekers chart, one badass duet with Darryl Hall (of Hall and Oates), and a headliner nod at American Rag's recent NYC holiday party. The RAGGED MAG fete, held at the Jane Hotel, saw fashionistas and music-lovers come together to celebrate style and sounds, as Fitz and The Tantrums showcased their skills at the DJ booth. Shortly after, we took a few minutes to talk "Sara Smile," style, and sweat with the band's lead-singer, Michael Fitzpatrick....

Union Square proved to be a time warp yesterday, as we bumped into Shana Brown, a fashionista stuck in between the eras of flower power and daisy dukes. With fierce braids and a bright smile, the city girl served up a rad look and added summer's fave Jeffrey Campbell wedges to keep things fresh. We'd kill for this outfit, but being that peace and love are Shana's mottos...we think she'd be down to share the wealth.
