Los Angeles music collective, Fitz and The Tantrums, have had a year worthy of a soul-clap or two. Their album, Pickin' Up The Pieces, earned the group a spot on Billboard's HeatSeekers chart, one badass duet with Darryl Hall (of Hall and Oates), and a headliner nod at American Rag's recent NYC holiday party. The RAGGED MAG fete, held at the Jane Hotel, saw fashionistas and music-lovers come together to celebrate style and sounds, as Fitz and The Tantrums showcased their skills at the DJ booth. Shortly after, we took a few minutes to talk "Sara Smile," style, and sweat with the band's lead-singer, Michael Fitzpatrick....

Being on the cover of magazines, hosting 'it-parties' for RAGGED MAG, and getting a feature in Rolling Stone...ever see yourslef right here, right now?

I thought it would be a police mug shot before the cover of a magazine, but hey, I'm not complaining!

Not enough people have heard your rendition of "Sara Smile"...it's EPIC. Any other classics you guys have up your sleeves?

We do a pretty fierce cover of "Sweet Dreams" by The Eurythmics that gets the audience going every time.

Dude, you've got impeccable taste when it comes to suiting. Tell men your style must-have for fall...

A good woman's scarf. Nothing says masculine like a touch of femininity.

Any artists you've got on-repeat that we must know before they're huge?

Walk the Moon. They are opening on tour for us right now and have great songs, beautiful harmonies, and their music just makes you want to dance.

The key to dressing like the Fitz and The Tantrums is _______________?

...to always look sharp, but make sure that your clothes can endure sweat-soaked nights and early mornings!

Watch Fitz and the Tantrum's latest video, "Don't Gotta Work It Out," below!

Union Square proved to be a time warp yesterday, as we bumped into Shana Brown, a fashionista stuck in between the eras of flower power and daisy dukes. With fierce braids and a bright smile, the city girl served up a rad look and added summer's fave Jeffrey Campbell wedges to keep things fresh. We'd kill for this outfit, but being that peace and love are Shana's mottos...we think she'd be down to share the wealth.
