We'll just say it: Brooklyn's premiere art school, Pratt, wouldn't be the same without Samuel Sutcliffe. The kid's loud - in both style and attitude - so trust us when we tell you, the senior doesn't walk to class, he's followed. An architecture  major, Sutcliffe interns at the ultra-hip design firm, Rafael De Cardenas, helping to create fun shop windows and sexy visual experiences. His pants are leather (amen!), boots are cranberry-colored Docs, sweater's vintage, and peeping collar bling's hand-made by Bond Hardware. Oh, and the pink hair?  It's just loud.

If there's one thing you must know about Teresa Suddeth, it's that the Georgia-native 'wears big hats.' Always. When we caught her in this wide-brimmed wonder, just before a party at Opening Ceremony, we nearly buckled at the knees. It's pure vintage goodness, picked up from a thrift shop in Georgia. Oh, and if there's another thing to know about Suddeth, it's that she loves her some vintage. Thus, the nude silk taffeta dress, a vintage buy that smartly mixes conservative and sexy (show that leg, girl)! There's no denying the SCAD grad knows style, she not only has found the City's thrift gem in, No Relation thrift store, but she's also learned from the best of 'em in fashion, interning at Timo Weiland. Here's one thing you should know about us - we're obsessed with Teresa. Like, want-to-buy-a-hat-and-wear-it-to-sleep-type-of-obsessed.

We're pretty certain Louisa Alsen stepped out of a Vogue magazine spread and onto the streets of SoHo yesterday, decked out in what can only be described as downtown-meets-Mad Men-glam. Her black wide-brimmed straw hat and wedges (scored during a trip to Germany) highlighted her bright red pout and clear frame shades.  With a closet full of contemporary threads, and grabs from both Beacon's Closet and the Salvation Army, the 20 year old  FIT Textile and Design major is clearly a master at both ze style and ze thrift. With a sartorially perfect look like this, who says you need to break the bank to look designer? Pass the scotch, please.

It's not often that we shoot our friends; strangers are far more interesting. But when you've got a girl like Yumi who looks as gorgeous dressed up as she does dressed down, it's difficult to put the camera away. When she's not rummaging through the city's thrift store for treasures like that authentic military jacket and black bowler, the junior is studying graphic design at SVA and living it up on the Lower East Side. Half-Japanese and half-German, Yumi moved to the States from Switzerland and now that we've got her in the city of milk and honey, we're not letting her go. So, go ahead, gawk. We do it all the time.

Layers are getting way too much attention this Winter. What's more deserving of our love, you ask? Textures. Shingo's a master of the texture-game, pairing knits with leathers, boiled wool with corduroys (Balenciaga, no less). His look forces our eyes to roam everywhere at once, but given we're in love with each piece, all that gazing's just fine with us. Come to think of it, Shingo the hairstylist may have a new gig on the horizon and it doesn't have to do with hair texturizing...

We don't know the cause of this -4 degree weather in NYC, all we know is that it's gotta stop. But until the temps start creeping upwards, we're pulling out the FUR...the faux-fur that is. Now THIS is NYC-style. Bryan's recent upload to the #parisvsnewyork campaign makes our mouth water, as we'd like to steal everything right off his (fashionable) back.  The cloud-white fur stole with gold chain? Unreal. The navy polka blouse and the wide-brimmed wicker hat? Jaw-dropping. Bryan's originally from Florida but recently moved to NYC to pursue his fashion dreams, and well, it looks like it's all happening. Now if only we could dream hard enough to get these goods...

In a City like New York, it's hard to really standout. Sure, running naked through Times Square may get you a few stares but the real key is sporting a shockingly bright (and shockingly cool) cardigan, kinda like Andrew. The thick red number is handmade in South America and comes in handy on days when the temperature calls for more than just one sweater. His straw hat fits that whole South-of-the-Border-vibe...we just wish he had a mojito in hand. Sigh.

Whether Yoshi's blogging or styling, this girl's got her hands all up in the NYC style game! We snapped her people-watching at a recent Toro Y Moi gig sponsored by the Whitney Museum. Going undercover in all black, she thought she'd blend into the crowd but instead Yoshi stood out in a Moulin Rouge bustier, a suave straw hat and one mouth-watering coral G-shock! There's something otherworldly about this chick, Dylan (maybe it's the stare).  She's a photographer/singer with a vision that extends from her art to her clothing.  When we spotted her downtown, she was styling in slashed leggings with matching heels, an off-the-shoulder tee and a simple (but standout) green bowler hat.  We've seen her in more, we've seen her in less...but this look strikes us as just right.  Two snaps to an artistic beauty.
