It is actually the other way around. I believe that Fabian was inspired by this particular photograph of Lana. If you look closely at the shadow on Lana's right palm casting from 2 of her fingers, wrinkles on Lana's shirts, the wrinkles on her hand, Lana's muscle definition on her left arm, the little weird curvature of her right arm that bums out a bit, the angle of her cigarette, the way her shirt draped under her left arm and numbers of pleats on it, the curvature of her little cross necklace, wrinkles on her jeans, even the little triangular gab created by her left hand and her jeans, and every other little details (I can go on and on with this). Compare all these elements to Fabian's Frida, and you will see that they actually ARE both identical. It is almost impossible for a photographer to precisely capture or recreate the exact same post with the exact camera angle and proportion and lighting from a referral image, especially when it's just an illustration. However, when it comes to creating a piece of drawing or artwork it is super easy to replicate something, and artists do it all the time especially in illustrating and graphic design field. I am sure that Fabian is a creative and unique artist, but I can assure you that Lana did not steal this look. All the evidences are there. I believe that Fabian actually traced over Lana's posture from this photograph and superimposed Frida's face to it. I even overlapped both photos in Photoshop, and they both lined up perfectly together. The proportion and everything. Plus I did research on this particular Lana's photograph and it was dated back to early 2011 if not earlier. On the other hand Fabian's Frida was uploaded to his Facebook page in Nov 2011.
