How To: Snag The Beauty Highlights From The 2013 SAG Awards

Amanda Seyfried’s Mermaid Hair

Amanda absolutely nailed her red carpet look from head to toe last night. But it was those long side-swept waves that really left us swooning- perfection! Stylist Rosalind Safdari from Frédéric Fekkai hair salon, says you can get this look at home in a few easy steps: “Start with dry hair, use an anti frizz serum to keep shine,” Roz explains. “Wrap one inch sections of hair around iron, starting at the nape of the neck. After the curl is released from iron, use your fingers to set each curl into a roll and secure with a pin curl clip. When the whole head is set, brush out hair using a hair spray or more shine serum. Brush over to the side and put a couple of pins in back at nape to secure in place.”

Claire Danes’s Dark Lip

The Homeland star didn’t make our best dressed this time, but we’re giving her props for that vampy dark red lip! Her make-up artist (the Global Artistry Director from Laura Mercier) used the Laura Mercier Lip Pencil in Coffee Bean to contour and shade her lips, with a touch of the same pencil in Deep Wine.

Anne Hathaway’s Butterfly Mani

Manicurist to the stars, Tom Bachik, turned Anne Hathaway’s talons into pretty little butterflies! He used L’Oréal’s ‘I Will!’ shade and then applied butterfly accents.

Marion Cotillard’s Sexy Smokey Eye

Marion was perfection last night. With her stunning sleek bob, in that Dior gown, those rocks around her neck and her glowing make-up… she knocked it out of the park. We love that she kept the rest of her make-up look natural but went for a dramatic smokey eye. We suggest using Benefit’s Smokin’ Eyes kit on the lid and brow, with a lashing of their BADgal mascara to top it off.

Leah Michele’s New Ombré Tresses

Miss Michele has obviously been brushing up on her Swagger beauty posts, because not only has she got those killer bangs back, but she’s gone and edged up her look another level with some dip-dyed ombré tresses. We broke the ‘How To’ on this trend way back in 2012, so all you need to know is already right here!
