Reason Number 32 why we love Bey? She puts people in their place when they fall out of line. Yes, we mean you, Kim Kardashian. During Jay-Z’s Made In America Festival, director Ron Howard was on the scene to film HOV’s upcoming documentary. Well, Kardashian was also there and when she didn’t get enough attention from the camera crew, she made it all to clear that she should be the subject of Howard’s new movie. Needless to say, Bey wasn’t impressed with Kim K and “politely” let Kardashian know “the day wasn’t about her, it was about Jay-Z, his work in organizing the event and there were other celebrities and musicians there that needed coverage too.” We’d like to think Bey ended the convo with an eye roll and a hair flip. Barack Obama Beats Mitt Romney, Says Twitter

When President Barack Obama took to the DNC stage last night, defending his work while in office his 2012 goals, he conjured the nation to tweet 52,757 times per minute, a new Twitter record for politics. Mitt Romney only received 14,000 tweets per minute during his RNC acceptance speech. (Via: ibtimes)

Jay-Z Talks Obama, Occupy + Blue Ivy

With just weeks left until the Barclays Center opens to the public, Jay-Z (who is a part owner of the Nets), sat down with Zadie Smith at T Magazine to talk his 2010 memoir “Decoded”, Occupy, Obama, and even Trayvon Martin. The interview ends with Jay explaining his expectations for his daughter: ““She doesn’t have to be tough. She has to love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person.” So basically, he wants her to be just like her mom. (Via: NYT)
