The BEST Fashion Campaigns Of The 90s

Sure Lanvin and Stella McCartney rule the roost when it comes to ads these days, but let’s not forget the ad-hits of the 90s! Featuring the likes of Marky Mark, Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and more, here are our fave fashion campaigns from our tater-tot days:

Stussy, 1995

Stussy published this ad everywhere in 1995! The brand’s always been big on standing out and staying true to you, so it’s no wonder this image made an impact on the younger set.

Kate Moss and Marky Mark For Calvin Klein, 1991

Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss teamed up for this steamy ad in 1991 which skyrocketed the British models career. Fast forward to December’s Vanity Fair the model tells the mag, “ It didn’t feel like me at all. I felt really bad about straddling this buff guy. I didn’t like it. I couldn’t get out of bed for two weeks. I thought I was going to die.”

Aaliyah For Tommy Hilfiger, 1996-1997

The late R&B singer and actress Aaliyah was featured in Tommy Hilfiger’s 1996-1997 ad campaign featuring the likes of a baby Mark Ronson (above) Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie and Kidada Jones. Aaliyah also starred in Hilfiger’s ’97 commercial.

Naomi Campbell For Chloé, 1994

Naomi was smoking hot in a 1994 Chloé campaign. FUN FACT: It was directed and shot by Karl Lagerfeld!

Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, and Linda Evangelista For Versace, 1991

The three supermodels (and BFFs) collectively starred in this Versace ad in 1991. After seeing their faces plastered everywhere, Gianni Versace hand-picked the ladies himself to represent the label.

Levi’s, 1998

The iconic Levi’s ad from 1998 featured one phrase, “______ wore them.” Simple and striking, Levi’s hit a home run with these ads that mentioned rival designers.
