Thanks to Don Julio Blanco tequila, we’re spilling the secrets behind the very tasty, and very summery watermelon margarita pops…just in time for your Independence Day BBQ! Follow the quick and easy steps below, and make a splash this summer with our new fave tequila treat:

Materials

 1 Large Watermelon

4 Limes

3 Ounces Don Julio Tequila

2/3 Cups Of Granulated Sugar

1 Cups Of Hot Water

Mint Leaves For Garnish

Plastic Dixie Cups

Tin Foil

Popsicle Sticks

Step 1: Cut

After slicing your watermelon in half, cut the fruit away from your body and scoop out the chunks.

Step 2: Make Simple Syrup & Add Watermelon Chunks

In a large bowl, mix 1 cup hot water, and 2/3 sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add simply syrup to bowl of watermelon chunks.

Step 3: Add Tequila & Lime

Using Don Julio Tequila, pour alcohol into your mixture and add in the juices from your squeezes limes. Add more water to dilute the drink if necessary, and go easy on the tequila – too much and the pops won’t freeze!

Step 4: Make Your Popsicle

Pour your watermelon margarita into plastic dixie cups, slightly below halfway mark. Add a pinch of chopped mint leaves for garnish and refreshment! Cover the top of the plastic cup with tin foil, and push the popsicle stick through the aluminum.

Place it in the freezer overnight, and cool down all morning! Enjoy! xoxo
