Trying to get the perfect body for that trip to the beach next month? Easy peasy! Here’s a workout consisting of three simple exercises we’ve tried that help you tone your arms, legs, and tummy. Remember to start off with some warm-up exercises (stretching, arm circles, jumping jacks … y’know, the works.) Requiring only five to 10 minutes of your day, these moves’ll have you feeling better both physically and mentally in no time – promise!
Push-Up + Side Plank (1 Minute): Do a push-up. Flip to your left side so that your hips, knees, and feet are aligned. Raise your left arm into the air. Return to push-up position, and repeat on your right side. Do this for a minute. 3 repetitions would be ideal…we know, we know, kinda a lot. But try it!
Lunge + Bicep Curl (2 Minutes): No worries if you don’t have dumbbells. We like to use two water bottles in place of weights. Start by standing with your left foot in front of you. Lower your body into a lunge so that you’re on your right foot’s toes and your left leg is bent. Do a biceps arm curl. Raise your body into standing position. Repeat this for a minute, then switch to your other leg.
On-the-Go Foul Shot (1 Minute): Here’s a workout we snagged from Shape to help burn more fat. Visualize a basketball sitting in front of your toes. Squat down, reach for the basketball, and kick off your feet as if you were shooting a foul shot. Return to the original, crouched position, and repeat this for a minute. Don’t worry to much about your shooting hand form, you’re not Lebron. xo
