The Best Places To Be Seen In New York City This Summer!

If you trust our fashion taste, you’ll love our hangout spots! For the summer, we’ve devised a small list of the best places to be seen in New York, like dinner spots, dance-off spots, dating spots, and coffee shops! So start making plans now before these places lose their luster. Your besties, Swagger.

Dating

Super Linda

Started by the La Esquina folks, a seat at Super Linda is a must-have this summer. Sip on tasty margaritas while you (sassily) chow down on ceviche and croquetas. The decor isn’t anything fancy, but the vibe’s spot on for a date – lively, sexy, and happening. Just don’t stare at the slew of hot celebs that casually stroll through…unless you don’t really want a second go-round with your partner. 109 West Broadway at Reade St.

Grabbing Coffee

The only thing better than sipping on a delicious cup of coffee? Sipping a delicious cup of coffee and jamming out to Azealia Banks, Biggie, Feist, The National, Nicki Minaj, and more! The hip East Village coffee shop, Everyman Espresso, has got everything from badass baristas to crazy playlists that, when combined, add a serious jolt to your day. The scene’s made up of a mix of regulars, artists, and fashionables, but lacks the pretense of other java joints.  136 E 13th St., 13th bw 3rd and 4th Aves.

Brunching

Ever had a Jamaican brunch? Think plantains with eggs, salted fish and avocado. Yum! The hotspot on West Houston bustles with pretty faces slamming down delicious eats throughout the weekend, so if you want in, make sure to show up early. Order from the long list of fresh fruit juices, too. But make sure to get ‘em with a side of liquor. Jamaicanmehapppppy. 132 West Houston, at Sullivan St.

Seeing Live Music

A Williamsburg warehouse hosting both underground bands and hype DJs, 285 Kent Avenue is a sweet retreat from pricey coat checks and $5 bottles of water. It’s the way music scene should be, really. 285 Kent Avenue, b/w South 1st and South 2nd, Brooklyn

Partying

Anywhere With Venus X

Creator of the notorious GHE20 GH0TH1K party, DJ Venus X has attracted the likes of Liv Tyler and MIA to her roaming soirees at hotspots around NYC. And unlike over-hyped DJs on the scene, Venus X really can throw down. Think reggaeton meets metal meets house, with a Top 40 jam chopped and screwed in for fun. Time to let loose!

Chris Brown. Drake. Flying bottles. Consider this place the hotspot for a serious brawl. Y’know, if you like that kinda stuff. 34 Vandam St, near Varick

  1. Everyman Espresso rocks. Free wifi, great coffee and not too crowded. Keep it on the DL!
