Anna Wintour Bans Kim Kardashian + 4 Awkward Fashion Moments

Ah, fashion. It’s full of good, bad, and seriously ugly moments that go down both on and off the carpet. Some of these moments are funny, and others get really awkward. Case in point: Anna Wintour’s ban of Kim Kardashian from this week’s Met Ball. Ouch. Below we count down the 5 moments that top John Galliano’s Hitler outburst.

+Karl Lagerfeld Calls Adele Too Fat

In an interview with Metro World News, Lagerfeld dished on his love for the Obamas, and his thoughts on Adele’s weight. The latter conversation wasn’t pretty. After calling the British crooner fat, Lagerfeld quickly issued an apology but it was already the slap heard round the world.  Thankfully, Adele was able to brush off those haters. Werk, girl!

+ Kim Kardashian Gets Banned From The Met Gala

Why would a red carpet vet like Kim Kardashian skip the biggest red carpet moment of the season? Well,  because HBIC Anna Wintour was not trying to let her Gala become a reality show set. According to insiders, Vogue‘s editrix banned the Kardashian clan even after Kimmy offered up cash for tickets. Looks like no one can buy Wintour’s love.

+Angelina Jolie  Attempts To Be Sexy…And Fails

Striking an Oscar red carpet pose for the history books, Jolie’s leggy action at the 2012 Academy Award went viral in seconds…and people weren’t laughing with her…just at her. :(

After the design house issued a tweet, the model took back her statements and said she was paid in clothing instead of cash–which she “preferred.” Side eye.

+Race And Fashion Collide

For FHM Philippines’ March 2012 issue, Bela Padilla ‘stepped out of the shadows’…and by shadows, we mean black people. The issue ruffled so many feathers that the mag had to reissue a new cover.
