After fashion designer Rick Owens played Zebra Katz’s “Ima Read” at his F/W 2012 show in Paris, the phones wouldn’t stop ringing. But Zebra Katz, née Ojay Morgan, didn’t expect the resulting hullaballoo from the track. After all, the Brooklynite had pieced together the haunting single years ago. Safe to say, Zebra Katz and his rapper sidekick, Njena Reddd Foxxx, had gone viral. So on the heels of their current tour, Katz and Reddd Foxxx took time out to school us on “reading,” hint at an upcoming remix, and talk “appropriations” from the Haus of Gaga.
