But Madonna was dripping with diamonds-on loan from Harry Winston- when she married British film director Guy Ritchie under tight security in Scotland.

Those are some of the few details that have trickled out about the Dec. 22 nuptials included in this week’s People magazine.

Madonna, 42, wore a strapless silk ivory gown, designed by McCartney, daughter of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. Paltrow, Rupert Everett, Donatella Versace and Sting were among the celebrities who witnessed the union at Skibo Castle.

The singer’s 4-year-old daughter, Lourdes, was the flower girl, tossing handfuls of red rose petals. Ritchie, 32, followed in a teal blazer and a Mackintosh, navy-and-green plaid kilt. see here maid of honor

Madonna and Ritchie’s 4-month-old son, Rocco, sat nearby in the arms of a nanny.

The Rev. Susan Brown led the couple through the Church of Scotland’s nine-part wedding ceremony. “They were pretty good on their lines,” said Ritchie’s father, John. “It was lovely.” Afterward, the guests gathered in a makeshift disco in the 19th- century castle’s basement. The bride changed into an ivory-colored pantsuit, which McCartney also designed.
